Halloween is one of the most enjoyable times of the year. Dedicated to tricks, treats and lots of scary fun, it is the only time when mischievous behavior, costumes, scary decorations, and tons of candy are strongly encouraged. As you get older though, it slowly becomes less about the spirit of fun, and more about snacking on the leftover candy. Luckily, things change once you have a baby. When you have a child of your own, you get a second chance at all fun things you enjoyed as a child, including Halloween. As clichéd as it may seem, you truly get to experience things through your child's eyes. So don't be afraid to take advantage of this second lease on childhood bliss. Eventually, your child will outgrow the fun of trick or treating too, and you'll have to wait until you have a grandchild to truly enjoy it again. Now that's scary.
Below are just a few fun tips to help make your little boo's first Halloween a screaming good time.
Tiny Treat: Costumes For The Tiniest Remember, it is never too early to get your child a Halloween costume. The best part? When they're little, you get to pick out their costume. If you have a newborn, consider dressing your little one in a baby swaddler. These tiny swaddlers will keep your baby feeling snug and soothed, and they'll make wonderful costumes.
Get Creative For Candy: Never Too Young Or Old For Sweet Treats. Finding your baby a costume is fun, but have you considered dressing up too? These days, many parents are taking their little ones out trick or treating, even if they're too young for candy. It's more about the memory, but it can be about the candy too. Consider finding a costume that complements your child's. For example, the Little Football Bunting & Cap we'll score tons of compliments if dad dresses up as a football player, or just wears his favorite team jersey. The Velour Teddy Bear Baby Bunting & Cap on the other hand, will get rave reviews if mom dresses as Goldie Locks. With creative costumes you'll have memories to cherish, and plenty of candy to eat.
A Screaming Shoot: Lights! Camera! Screams! Taking Photos Since you've gone to all that trick or treat trouble, make sure you capture these moments on camera. Whether it's picking out their first pumpkin in the pumpkin patch or capturing the cuteness of their costume, make sure you get it all on camera. Hopefully, your baby will cooperate with the camera, but babies aren't known for that. So just go with the flow, and snap shots of your baby whether they're smiling or screaming.
